Below is a list of performance events and competitions available to students:

Event Name: WSMTA Outstanding Artist Competition
Deadline: September 13, 2017
Event Date: November 10-12, 2017
Event Location: Central Washington University, Ellensburg
Repertoire Requirement: For Age 11-14 (Junior), at least two different periods, maximum 20 minutes. For Age 15-18 (Senior), at least two periods, maximum 25 minutes.

Event Name: MTNA Student Performance Competition
Deadline: September 13, 2017
Event Dates: November 10-12, 2017
Event Location: Central Washington University, Ellensburg
Repertoire Requirement: For Age 11-14 (Junior), at least two different periods, maximum 20 minutes. No extended techniques (inside piano) For Age 15-18 (Senior), at least two periods, maximum 25 minutes for State, maximum 30 minutes for division and national.

Event Name: Simon-Fiset Competition
Registration: January 9(?), 2018
Event Dates: February 3-4, 2018
Event Location: Cornish College
Repertoire Requirement: Grades 7-8: 14 minutes; Grades 9-10: 17 minutes; Grades 11-12: 20 minutes; 3 pieces from different periods.

Event Name: Seattle Music Teachers Association Music Artistry Program (MAP)
Registration: December 5, 2017- January 5, 2018
Event Dates: March 5 - 10, 2018
Event Location: Seattle
Repertoire Requirement: No restriction. Time slot must be at least 2x the playing time.

Event Name: Seattle Young Artists Festival
Registration: Usually mid December - mid January
Event Dates: Usually 3rd full week of March
Event Location: UW School of Music
Repertoire Requirement: See website. Concerto entry must also include a complete program section (one solo piece from four periods (Baroque, Classical, Contemporary, plus either Romantic or Impressionist.)

Event Name: Performing Arts Festival of Eastside (PAFE)
Registration: January 21 - March 13, 2018(?) until class filled.
Event Dates: April 2- April 7, 2018
Event Location: Usually St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue.
Repertoire Requirement: One or two selections of contrasting styles from memory (For Grades 7-10, 10 minutes playing time; For Grades 11-12, 12 minutes). Concerto section require participation in solo section. Concerto section require one or two movements of a standard repertoire within the time limit (Grades 7-8, 12 minutes playing time; Grades 9-12, 15 minutes).

Event Name: KING FM Young Artist Awards
Deadline: April 10(?), 2018
Repertoire Requirement: submit URL of a video (uploaded to Youtube) performing up to 5 minutes, unedited. Participants are divided into two groups age 6-15, and 6-20.
